Razor clam dig alerts by email

One email when WDFW approves a razor clam dig at your beach, with the tides and digging windows, and one if a beach closes for marine toxins. Free, for iPhone, Android or desktop.

Email or the app?

Email is free and works on any phone. The Android app is faster: a push notification the minute WDFW posts, tides and the window cached for the beach with no signal, the limit counter, and closure alerts for your watched beaches. Plenty of people use both.

Questions

How do I get an alert when razor clam digs are approved?

Enter your email on this page and confirm it. DigTide watches the WDFW razor clam page through the day and emails you as soon as a dig is approved at your beach, with the low tide and digging window for each date. On Android, the DigTide app sends the same alert as a push notification.

Is there a DigTide iPhone app?

Not yet. It is in progress. Tick "Also tell me when the iPhone app is out" when you sign up and you will get one email when it launches. Until then, email alerts and digtide.com give iPhone users the same dig dates and closures.

Is there a razor clam alert for tides too?

Email alerts cover approvals and closures. The DigTide Android app adds minus-tide alerts (a push when a tide of −1.0 ft or lower is coming at your beach), a morning-of reminder with the window and weather, and crab season openers. Tide tables for every coastal town are on the site at /tides.

How many emails will I get?

One when WDFW approves a series of digs at your beaches and one if a beach closes for marine toxins. A busy season means a few emails a month; nothing between series.
