About

DigTide

DigTide is an Android app and website for people who dig razor clams on the Washington coast. It watches WDFW’s announcements and the Department of Health closure map, alerts you the minute a beach is approved or closed, and shows NOAA tides and the best digging window for every dig at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, Mocrocks and Kalaloch.

Is DigTide the same as Digitide?

No. DigTide (dig + tide) is a razor clam app made by KYZEN Dev. It has no connection to Digitide Solutions, DigiTide.ai, DigiTide Digital Agency, Digitide Systems or any other company with a similar name.

Who makes DigTide?

KYZEN Dev, an independent developer. DigTide is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Washington Department of Health or NOAA; it reads their public data.

Where does the data come from?

Dig dates and approvals from WDFW’s razor clam page, closures from the Washington Department of Health shellfish safety map, tide predictions from NOAA CO-OPS, and weather from Open-Meteo. The app checks WDFW through the day and more often during the afternoon announcement window.

How much does it cost?

The app is free to download, and closure alerts, the schedule and cached tides are free. DigTide Pro, a subscription through Google Play, adds instant dig-approval push alerts, planners and the offline pack; prices are shown in the app.
